Trackle Beta is currently in open beta. You sign up for an account (free, of course), add what they call tracklets from their catalog of services and then you get notified via your inbox when things that you care about occur. They are using Google Alerts to fetch book, movie, and music releases, birthday reminders, crime in your neighborhood, classifieds from Craigslist, weather, travel and so much more. Check it out if you have time. I think you’ll like it.
